Coffee w/ half & half, coconut oil, 2 tbs sugar
Handful of trader joes trail mix (sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, dried apple pieces).
IF until 1430. Challenging period at work where I had to avoid eating cake... grrr... stupid work that rewards everything with carby food.
Broke my fast with some leftover ground beef mixed with some pickled jalapenos... mental note: never eat jalapenos... they are just not agreeable.
Dinner was 1/2 petite sirloin (not very tasty) and 1/2 baked potato with butter and sour cream. I was not feeling hungry at all... but i was feeling sick and the wife pushed me to eat something rather than deal with an upset stomach. I appreciate that... but i still feel like crap...

Day 4 (30 Day Challenge)
I think i waited too long to write this... i dont remember what I ate today... i know i did not deviate too badly.
I tried to make some fajitas for dinner with Carne Asada and canned green chilies... it tasted alright, but it was sort of watered down and just not flavorful. I had this with a salad.

Day 2 (30 day challenge)
No coffee this morning.
IF from 7 pm until 3 pm.
10 oz. Tuna Salad w/ egg, celery, onion, mustard, mayo, salt, pepper, garlic powder
Small salad w/ ranch
Tall iced coffee w/ half & half and two tbs sugar
10 pieces of salami
6 oz. Salmon (oven roasted with mustard/soy sauce/honey glaze)
My carb cravings are a bit difficult to understand today. It is only day two, and I am not trying to eliminate all carbs like with Atkins, just scale them way back. I think the iced coffee this afternoon kicked off something in my brain.

30 Day Challenge - Day 1
I have not been a very good Primal-adherent the past month. The family has managed to eliminate most processed foods, seed oils, and soy products. We still have our weaknesses, such as a quick fast-food dinner or a packaged desert. If I do not have it in the house, I do not go out of my way to pick anything up, but sometimes the convenience outweighs the effort. With three small kids, a full time job, and school, that is sometimes more important in the short term.
I was going to start this 3 days ago, but circumstances prevented any earlier effort on my part. I believe I have been pushing myself too hard with my workouts. They have left me feeling tired, but full of nervous energy, which I thought was a good thing. Turns out, they have just been wearing me down; physically as well as mentally. I would hit a wall about 5 or 6 PM and just crave carbohydrates. Last night, after an especially bad period of overheating and dehydration, I warmed up some leftover pizza that was in the fridge. My body obviously needed something, because I felt better after I ate it, but I'm sure I will pay for it today.
Going forward, I am cutting back on the workouts until my energy level perks back up. This means my diet has to be cleaner. I am sticking to the leafy vegetables, avoiding starches and sugars, and keeping things simple.
